Our Journey Together
We invite you to share your thoughts as we begin this journey of spiritual growth and enlightenment.
As we navigate the ups and downs of life together, we step into a world of faith, hope, and love – 1 Corinthians chapter 13.

The Christian faith
Paul tells us that ". . . faith is the assurance that what we hope for will come about and the certainty that what we cannot see exists" - Heb 11:1
The word "faith" in Greek is "pistis," which conveys a sense of trust, confidence, and assurance. In the context of Hebrews, faith is not merely intellectual assent but a deep-seated trust in God and His promises. Historically, faith has been the foundation of the relationship between God and His people, as seen in the lives of the patriarchs and prophets.
Paul continues: "For by it the men (and woman) of old gained approval" - verse 2.
The Christian Hope
We have all experienced hope’s disappointment and the feeling of our heart becoming sick with anxiety – Pro 13:12
Writing to the congregation in Rome, Paul says: “For we were saved in this hope; but hope that is seen is not hope, for when a man sees a thing, does he hope for it? – Rom 8:24
And again: "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, both sure and firm - Heb 6:19
So, we ask, what is this “hope” that Paul speak of being an ‘anchor for our souls’?
The Christian love
The Christian Greek Scriptures employ two Greek words a·gaʹpe, and phi·liʹa.
Agape love goes over and above spoken words and can be known only from the actions it prompts. God’s love is seen in the gift of His Son - John 3:16, I John 4:9, 10.
But God's love is obviously not the love of complacency, or affection, that is it was not drawn out by any excellency in its objects- Rom 5:8
